Course outline

In this six week course, you will learn to develop a focused and embodied attention, self awareness, emotional intelligence, and greater sense of ease and well being. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.

The course includes the following:

  • Training in meditation, developing awareness of breath, body, feelings and thoughts.
  • Managing stress and learning how to shift from reaction to response.
  • Recognising and letting go of unhelpful habitual thoughts and mind states.
  • Exploring, understanding and working with a range of emotional experience.

Each 75 minute session will build on learning from the previous week.

Who is it for?

This course is designed for guys who are beginners to mindfulness or those who would like a refresher in its basic principles and techniques. If you find yourself stressed, distracted, or in need of a little head space - you’re not alone, and mindfulness could be a powerful tool to help you regain balance.

What exactly is mindfulness anyway?

Mindfulness has been gathering much attention over recent years as a scientifically tried-and-tested method of reducing stress and anxiety. By helping us to focus our attention on the present moment and not get swept up in worrying or negative thoughts about the past or future, we learn to respond more calmly and skilfully to life. A regular practice can help us to:

  • learn to cope better with the pressures we're under;
  • recognise the thoughts and judgements we make, often subconsciously, that generate more stress;
  • find balance and a sense of calm.

Cost

The six week course costs £60, payable prior to the start of the course. To book your place, follow the below link.
